About us
Who we are
SOOVA is a non-profit voluntary organization. Since year 2000 serving the marginalized and tribal community through demonstrating different developmental initiatives focusing on women empowerment in rural, scheduled Castes and tribal communities.
We started extending help to needy children and youth who were eager to study and work for a better life. This moment intensified when we found that there were many such underprivileged children who needed help with food, shelter and education. Our team expanded and we spread out in different regions to make sure we cover all possible areas and help as many children as possible.
SOOVA is a non-profit voluntary organization working since 2000 to empower marginalized and tribal communities. It focuses on women empowerment, skill development, and sustainable livelihoods in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Balasore districts. SOOVA collaborates with the government, communities, and stakeholders to enhance services in rural and tribal areas. Its key initiatives include natural resource management, Farmer Producer Groups, WADI management, NTFP product marketing, and climate-resilient activities. By promoting self-employment, backyard livestock farming, and kitchen gardens, SOOVA aims to create a healthier and economically stable society where every individual enjoys equal opportunities and dignity.
